5 cute & easy homemade Christmas ornaments

The ABC Crafts Series...O is for Ornaments!

Yes, I'm out of alphabetical order again in the ABC Crafts Series, but you may as well get used to it, because Christmas is fast approaching and I have lots of Christmas crafts I want to share with you!

5 cute and easy homemade Christmas ornaments

So this week I decided to round up a few cute ornaments, which are also very easy to make at home. For most of them, the kids can help too, to double the fun. Check them out below:

Welcome to the 2016 Holidays Celebration Link Party #1!

Welcome to the first Holidays Celebration Link Party of 2016 – a seasonal weekly link party where bloggers can share their Holidays posts, crafts and recipes as check out what others have been up to and find lots of inspiration!

This is a season for celebrating, so come and share with us your crafts, special recipes, printables, tips & tricks and whatever else you're planning for Christmas! Add old posts, new posts, anything goes, but remember, only Holiday related links will get a chance to be featured.

The party will run from Thursday to Tuesday and I will post the features on next Wednesday, the 7th December.

Holidays Celebration Link Party

I'm not big on link party rules, but I've set just a few guidelines:
  • Link to a specific post, not your home page
  • There are no thumbnails in the party, so make sure you add an interesting title/description to your link
  • Don't link and run! Please visit other links, make friends, get inspired
  • Consider adding the Holidays Celebration Link Party button (below) to your parties page or your post and share that you linked up to this party on social media so that others can join us too. The more the merrier! If you follow me via any social media (icons in the side bar) leave me a comment and I'll make sure to follow you back!
  • By linking up to the Holidays Celebration Link Party you give me permission to use your photos in features or round-us, and to share your posts on social media (always with a link back to you for proper credit)

Now onto the party!

I created a Pinterest board for the party, where you will be able to see all the holidays-related links shared. You can find it here.

Thank you for linking up and making this party a success!

When you linkup, your e-mail will be added to the Holidays Celebration Link Party mailing list and you will receive one (and only one) e-mail each week to let you know when the party goes live. All mail addresses are kept strictly confidential. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to the e-mail you received, or by sending me a message directly (

Holidays checklists - free printables

I know we are still at the beginning of December, but a lot of things will happening at the same time along the next few weeks. The best way to avoid last minute stresses is to organize yourself in advance. With that in mind, I'm sharing today something to help all of us keep track of things to buy, upcoming events, meal plans, etc.

The best way to ensure no detail is forgotten is, of course, to make a list. Or, in this case, several lists. In between having to find gifts for the entire family, attending school Christmas parties, writing and mailing cards and a zillion other small details, these lists will be life savers for me!

The 2016 Holidays Celebration Link Party starts tomorrow!

Yeas, it's that time of the year again! December starts tomorrow and we have only a little over three weeks until Christmas. Busy days ahead!

Since this is a season for celebrating, I decided to host again the Holidays Celebration Link Party, and I would love for you to come and share with us your crafts, special recipes, printables, tips & tricks and whatever else you're planning for Christmas and New Year! Old posts, new posts, they are all welcome!

The Holidays Celebration Link Party is a seasonal weekly link party and will be running each Thursday for the next five weeks. The first party will be live tomorrow, December 1st, and the last party will start on December 29th, to end the year in style!

Because I will still he hosting The Really Crafty Link Party every Monday to Thursday, I'm going to keep the link up  for the Holidays Celebration open from each Thursday to the next Tuesday, and then post the features on the following Wednesday. You are welcome to link up to both parties!

This party will be focused on holidays posts. Old or new, crafts, printables, home decor, recipes, whatever you want to share. You are obviously free to add other posts too (as long as they are family friendly), but only holiday related posts will have a chance to be featured.

Once the party starts rolling, I will create a Pinterest board to gather all the holidays-related posts shared. In the meantime, you can browse around the 2015 Holidays Celebration Link Party Pinterest board for inspiration:

I'm very excited to host this party again and I hope you can come and share the Christmas joy with me tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - falling leaves

I've been having long, busy days, so now time for even thinking about photos. I'd even considered forgetting about the wordless Wednesday post this week. But just now, coming down the street, I had the sudden urge to take  a picture of the trees losing their leaves in the wind.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - falling leaves

Not very fall-ish in terms of color, but still pretty, and a reminder that winter is on its way...

Stamped snowflake holiday cards

Last weekend I was busy with a lot of small projects. I made a list of things I really wanted to make before Christmas and homemade cards were one of them (yes, I' old fashioned and I still like to mail Christmas cards to family and close friends).

Stamped snowflake holiday cards

Stamped cards are among the easiest you can make and are perfect for this season, especially if you want to have your kids involved.
